mhm I ridiculously wholeheartedly love and enjoy The Vampire Diaries.  My enjoyment is not based on irony unlike certain pieces of media I somewhat stan for, so it sort of hurts when I can easily predict what happens to the few minority characters that pop up on the program.  If you are minority extra, you pretty much end up as vampire food which is not chic at all.  If you are minority secondary character, you pretty much have only one choice.  If you are black, you are mostly going to be a witch working under a white vampire for whatever reason and end up dead sooner rather than later.  If you are Asian—well, we only got two Asian characters so far and they worked pretty independent from the Salvatores and, y’know, Klaus but they still ended up dead.

That’s not cute, Vampire Diaries.  I rather deal with Damon’s Man Pain on weekly basis than see yet another POC end up dead your show, and I really passionately hate Damon.  (Also, your fandom is sort of racist unfunny hot mess, but that is a story for another night.)
